POLISH SKYDIVING CLUB FINANCES P-750 WITH INVESTMENT BONDS

A Polish skydiving club has group-financed a New Zealand Pacific Aerospace P-750 skydiving aircraft by offering investment bonds to club members.

The Polish Skydiving club, located near Poznan, needed a new aircraft to service the growing numbers of skydivers in its ranks, and several club members had long been admirers of the high-performance Pacific Aerospace aircraft. With a visit to Pacific Aerospace confirming the aircraft as the right choice, the club sold investment bonds to members and friends to finance the aircraft.

Mark Crouch, Pacific Aerospace GM Global Markets, says the P-750 aircraft is already well known in Europe and attractive to the skydiving community in particular because of its exceptional takeoff-to-jump-height time.

“Basically, the P-750 can get skydivers in the air faster, then get back to the ground incredibly quickly to load up the next round of divers, making it super efficient,” Crouch said.

“It (the sale) opens a window of opportunity for the skydiving market; the P-750 is one of the most efficient skydiving planes out there and this is yet another opportunity to get the word out to the community.”

The P-750 was ordered with a unique high-visiblity paint scheme designed by Polish designer Kuba Konwent and painted by a local Hamilton family Craig Wickham and sons Ross and Paul; both sons are employees of Pacific Aerospace.

On June 25 the P-750 began its epic ferry to Poland, transiting via Lord Howe Island, Brisbane, Alice Springs, Port Hedland, Cocos Keeling in the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka, Oman, Egypt and Greece.
